While that quote is incredibly accurate, I don’t think it’s accurate it to attribute such a warning to Republicans of the modern era. Sure, I think they have a shitty way of running a government, but this quote comes from a time when fascism was a rising global force. There was actually a legitimate fear of an honest to God fascist movement in the US. I think this quote is the doorway to a more interesting dilemma, primarily the dissolution of government and business barriers that occurs regardless of political affiliation. Still, it’s a point halfway made at best with this thought.
