Chris Christie • Regarding his recent veto of a bill that would have legalized gay marriage in New Jersey. Politicians who oppose marriage equality use this defense a lot, because hey, it’s easy to speak on behalf of your unnamed gay friends and say that they’re cool with your anti-gay marriage views. Never mind equality, guys! Chris Christie is totally cool. And at the end of the day, that was what was at stake, right? It’s whether we can stand to know that Christie is a bigot or an ignorant fool, right? Surely there was no greater travesty occurring with this pathetic veto other than this pompous ass’s reputation! Why, no, not with such a great guy as governor!
